Sara | Practice Manager | RVT


Registered Veterinary Technician, Sara, has been working at Blue Valley Animal Hospital for over nineteen years. Although she spends most of her time managing the practice, Sara still enjoys assisting with surgery and internal medicine. She graduated with honors from Colby Community College & continues to attend conferences and seminars nationwide to keep current on veterinary trends. Sara lives on a ranch with her husband and two daughters and her four-legged friends which consist of Hadley a Border Collie/Aussie, Paisley a Hanging Tree Cowdog, Tiger her kitty, and lots of horses and cattle. Sara doesn't have any free time, but she really enjoys spending time with her family outside, watching her girls play sports, running, doing chores, and serving on numerous school and church committees.

Nina | Lead Veterinary Technician | Special Procedures Coordinator


Nina joined Blue Valley Animal Hospital in July 2014. She has been in the veterinary industry since 2011 and graduated from Brown Mackie College with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2013. Nina resides in Parker with her Fiancé of 14 years and their 5 year old daughter, Grace and 2 year old son, Memphis.   She has 1 dog: a Terr/Min Pin named Shadow. Nina’s favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are dentistry, surgery, and client education. In her spare time Nina enjoys baking, the outdoors, and spending time with family.

Our talented team of Veterinary Technicians work alongside our doctors to make sure your pet's visit to our office is a positive, stress-free one. From the moment they enter the exam room, our technicians are focused on every detail, from calming our anxious patients to gathering vitals and specimens; caring for your four-legged family member is their top priority.

Chelsea | Veterinary Technician


Chelsea originally joined Blue Valley Animal Hospital at the end of August 2016, but then became a stay at home mom to her son in July 2018. Luckily, she missed us, and came back to work full time in November 2019! At a young age, Chelsea knew she wanted to work with animals and so she started out cleaning kennels as her first job.  She graduated from Brown Mackie College in 2014 with her Associates in Veterinary Science.  Her four-legged family includes two BIG dogs and many kitties!  Chelsea enjoys spending time with her 3 kids, going to dog parks, watching movies, bowling, and horseback riding.

Rebecca | RVT


Rebecca began working at Blue Valley Animal Hospital in 2021. She has been working with animals since 2005. She began working in shelters and at vet clinics. Eventually, Rebecca worked her way up from kennel assistant to Veterinary Technician. In 2014, Rebecca graduated from Brown Mackie College with a degree in Veterinary Technology, and in 2022, she passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam. Rebecca currently lives in Kansas City with her 9-year-old son, Aiden, a German Sheppard named Padfoot, and a Hound Mix named Copper. 

Kendra | Veterinary Technician


Kendra has been in the veterinary field since 2010 and graduated from Brown Mackie College in 2012 with an associate's degree in veterinary technology. She has spent her career in Emergency and Critical Care medicine, but is looking forward to forming long term relationships with patients and clients. Her interests include emergency and specialty medicine along with top notch patient care. Her family consists of her husband ( high school sweethearts since freshman year), 2 boys, 13 and 7; and one dog, Kendal, who is 10 years old. In her free time, Kendra enjoys traveling for her son's AAU competitive basketball team, walking trails, and being home with her family. 

Melissa | Veterinary Technician


Melissa joined Blue Valley Animal Hospital in 2023.  She is a graduate of the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Program and brings with her 23 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician,16 of those years in emergency and specialty medicine.  Melissa is Fear Free Certified and has had cat specific training through the AAFP.  When she is not working, her spare time is spent with her husband and 2 children.  She enjoys reading, hiking, and the outdoors.  She has been a Girl Scout leader for the past 7 years and currently leads 2 troops! Melissa recently helped her daughter's troop earn their Bronze Award by enriching the lives of shelter pets.  They created cat scratchers out of recycled Girl Scout cookie boxes and donated them to KC Pet Project. Her four legged family members include three handsome black cats that run her home and two sweet schnauzers that know the kitties are in charge!  

Veterinary Assistants

Meet our rockstar team of Veterinary Assistants. They work alongside the entire medical team caring for your pet’s needs at their most vulnerable times as well routine health exams. Every day for them looks different yet is exciting knowing that they are making a difference in each pet’s life.

Megan has been working for BVAH since September 2021. She began her career as a kennel assistant at another practice before joining BVAH as a veterinary assistant. In the future, Megan plans to take online classes to get her degree in Veterinary Technology and become an RVT. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is assisting in appointments and surgeries. Megan has 3 Australian Shepherds, Kaycee, Asher, and Tilly. Outside of work, Megan enjoys dancing and shopping!

Victoria | Veterinary Assistant


Victoria was born and raised in the Kansas City area. She’s always had a love for animals and knew she wanted to work in the veterinary profession. She joined the Blue Valley Animal Hospital Team in July 2022 and has loved it ever since. She began her career as a veterinary assistant at Aubry Animal Clinic two years before joining the team at BVAH. She’s glad to be able to continue her relationship with clients and patients and excited to build new ones with those from BVAH! She hopes to further her education in the field and become an RVT in the future. She has a one-year-old Cockapoo named Charlie In her free time, she loves to spend time outside, shopping, and hanging out with her friends!

Haley | Veterinary Assistant


Haley joined Blue Valley Animal Hospital in 2021 as a veterinary assistant. From a young age, Haley always wanted to work with animals. She pursued her dreams of doing so by getting a degree in animal science from Missouri State University. Haley’s favorite parts of her job are surgery and internal medicine. In the future, she plans to go back to school and become an RVT. Haley has a boxer and pug mix named Buckwheat. Outside of work, she likes to play volleyball, go horseback riding, read, and watch movies.

Annaliese | Veterinary Assistant


Annaliese joined the BVAH team summer of 2022, coming from Aubry Animal Clinic where she worked from almost two years. She is glad to be able to continue to work closely with clients and patients from there and build new relationships with those of BVAH! She has always loved science and animals and hopes to further her education in the field as either a RVT or Veterinarian in the near future. Annaliese’s favorite aspects of veterinary medicine include internal medicine and surgery. She has a chocolate lab named Laika, and two African dwarf frogs, Rico and Dante! Annaliese enjoys spending her free time painting, traveling and hanging out with her friends.

Sara | Front Office Manager


Sara has been working for Blue Valley Animal Hospital since 2021 and a part of the animal industry since 2019. Sara loves her furry friends, but she holds a special place in her heart for reptiles. She has owned more reptiles than she has furry friends. Although Sara is a Kansas native, she has traveled to every corner of the United States.

Daisy | Boarding & Daycare Manager


Daisy was born and raised in Kansas City, KS. Daisy’s family consists of her 4 fur children; 2 pups named Jet and Eevee and two cats Izzy and Stella, and her husband Tyler.  Daisy has been taking care of animals professionally for about 5 and a half years.  She is very happy to have found Blue Valley Animal Hospital and has been with us for 3 years she loves interacting with all the amazing staff and clients! In her free time, Daisy enjoys nights in with some wine and a charcuterie board or fun game nights with friends.

Hannah | Boarding & Daycare Assistant Manager


Hannah is originally from California but moved to Kansas in 2021. She has been at Blue Valley Animal Hospital for two years. Her favorite part of working here is hanging out with all the fur babies that come in. Hannah’s favorite hobbies include thrifting for great deals and hanging out with her best friends, Daisy and Alyssa. When she gets the chance, Hannah likes to pull out her camera and do some photography. Her four-legged family consists of her awesome dog, Sugar, a poodle terrier mix.

Cameron | Boarding & Daycare Caretaker


Cameron was born and raised in Stilwell, Kansas. Her first job was working with animals, she has always loved them and knew this was what she wanted to do as a career. Cameron has a 5-year-old Catahoula/Aussie mix named Minnow and a kitten named Eggs. Her favorite part of working at Blue Valley Animal Hospital is getting to know all of the clients and meeting their pets. When she isn’t at work, Cameron enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She loves KState football, cooking, concerts, and giving her husband projects around their home!

Behind the Scenes Staff

Hannah | Super Assistant


Hannah joined Blue Valley Animal Hospital in 2012. Hannah is what we call our "Behind the scenes super assistant." She deep cleans the office 3 times a week and is awesome at her job! Hannah has a 12 year old Golden Doodle named Copper who keeps her plenty busy! In her free time, Hannah enjoys Art sketching, walking her dog, and taking photos for Instagram.
