Urgent Care Tests & Diagnostics

Our veterinary team is skilled in offering surgical, diagnostic, and medical care and works with compassion and efficiency to ensure a positive outcome.

We offer the latest diagnostics and testing for our urgent care patients at Blue Valley Animal Hospital including:

  • Blood analysis. A blood analysis can help us determine what is wrong with your dog or cat if they are experiencing an unknown illness or have ingested a toxic substance.

  • Digital X-rays. X-rays help us determine what kind of internal injuries your pet might be experiencing after a fight or accident involving a car.

  • Surgery. Sometimes pets need to be brought into surgery to repair injuries.

  • Medication. Medicines may be necessary to help your pet recover from a medical emergency or illness. We keep a range of pet medicines on hand to ensure that your pet's needs are covered.

  • You can make an appointment for Urgent Care just like you would for normal hours appointment. Use our form here or call our front desk at 913-681-2818.

  • Urgent Care services are an extension of our normal services, but when you need to get your pet in now. Vomiting, diarrhea, ear infections, fever, lameness, wound care, struggling to urinate,  and if your pet just isn’t feeling well are all examples of what we treat in an urgent manner. Urgent care is substantially less in cost than Emergency Care. 

  • Our goal is to provide the same level of service during our urgent care hours as we do during our normal business hours. Our highly trained team works closely with your pet to diagnose and treat whatever is making them feel ill.
