Yes, we do! But what does that mean? 

The CFVP or Cat-Friendly Veterinary Professional certificate program teaches core principles around understanding cats and feline behavior and how to reduce stress during a veterinary visit. Our very own Dr. Claypool has completed additional learning to receive this designation!

• Tailoring our interactions with your cat by understanding and appropriately responding to their current emotional state. Their emotional state can depend on genetics, life stage, and previous experiences with vet care. 

• Provide a calming environment for your cat. Soothing music, warmed blankets, whatever is needed to help your feline family member be comfortable. 

• Allowing the cat to feel safe and have a sense of control, this not only makes sure the current visit goes well but that future visits do too. 

• Prepare the exam room before the appointment, ensuring all potential stressors are non-existent.
