Because your pet’s safety, health, and well-being are important to us, we provide veterinary services designed to help us evaluate conditions quickly and treat them effectively.
To ensure your pet’s comfort, we administer a preoperative sedative and postoperative pain medication at our Overland Park Vet clinic. Throughout all surgical procedures, we monitor your pet’s vital signs to ensure safety and determine if additional medications are needed. While a pet is under anesthesia, he or she will be connected to animal-specific monitoring equipment so that his or her vital signs can be recorded. We monitor ECG, Pulse-Ox, SPO2, Heart rate, Respiratory rate, Mucous Membrane color, and Blood Pressure. A technician will monitor your pet every two minutes for the first ten minutes of surgery and then every five minutes after that. Pain medication and fluids are administered during each procedure, and a catheter is always placed. Patients are monitored after surgery until they are awake, alert, and able to walk around. Please do not hesitate to call our office to discuss any concerns you may have about your pet's procedure. If you are deciding on a procedure for your pet, we are always happy to build you an estimate.
When your pet is suffering from allergies or infections of the skin or ears, we focus on finding and treating not only the symptoms but the underlying cause. A selection of diagnostic tests is available to narrow down the possibilities and help identify the issue, enabling us to treat it effectively.
We utilize digital X-ray, which is safer and faster than traditional X-ray. The images can be modified instantaneously to provide the best views for diagnostic and treatment purposes, and we can create a CD for you to take with you after the appointment.
Our Overland Park Animal Hospital offers cold therapy laser treatment to alleviate a variety of ailments that cause pain or a loss of function resulting from injuries or the effects of aging. The laser treatment works by stimulating healing at the cellular level, leading to better circulation and decreased inflammation.
Good oral health for your pet can result in a longer and happier life! During our yearly physical examination, we will examine your pet’s mouth for any dental issues. At our animal hospital we offer a myriad of dental services, including: oral and dental exams, cleaning, polishing, x-rays, and extractions. Feel free to call us at any time to set up an appointment.
Routine vaccinations protect your dog and cat against serious contagious diseases. Our vaccination protocol shields dogs and cats against Rabies and Distemper and dogs against Bordetella, Parvo, Corona, Canine Influenza and Leptospirosis.
We carry a full line of medications for your pet including vitamin and mineral supplements, shampoos, flea and tick control, and heartworm medication. Additionally, we offer prescription medications from our in-house pharmacy.
We offer emergency services during normal working hours. If your pet is in need of emergency care after hours, call our main line and we will provide you with the on call veterinarian's contact information.
Pet insurance allows you cover the cost of veterinary care in the future, giving you peace of mind and making treatment more affordable. We recommend Pets Best Insurance and offer a 5% discount when you use the discount link on our site.
